Parents agree that Home Care Services of Rhode Island offers much needed respite and makes it possible to tend to normal daily business and activities. With HCSRI, you, the caregiver, can share more attention with other family members, take care of household chores, or just take some quiet time, resting easy in the knowledge that your child is in the hands of a capable, compassionate Home Care Service professional.
Home Care Services of Rhode Island provides skilled nursing services for children and youths up to age 21 who may have any number of medical issues. Maintaining a routine is especially challenging for school age children who may need medications and skilled attention during the school day.
If your child has a tracheal or feeding tube, relies on a ventilator or is in need of suctioning, daytime personal care or feeding, a skilled nurse can provide that one-on-one relationship your child needs. If the City or Town School departments contract with us, we will accompany him / her from home to school, work one-on-one with the child for the day and return home with him at day’s end. Our nurses may then stay with your child into the evening if approved by their insurance company or the State.
Parent or adult caregiver does not need to be at the house when the CNA is there unless it is a skilled nursing client.

Adult Patient Services
|

|
Home Care Services of Rhode Island often works with the Department of Human Services and the adult patient’s physician’s office to create a plan of care. A caseworker, with input from our Director of Nursing or Case Manager, usually determines how many hours of assistance the patient receives and what type of help is needed. Referrals to HCSRI also come from from Department of Elderly Affairs, Respite services, Care Scout, private insurance companies and individuals.

HCSRI has wide ranging experience with adult and geriatric patients for both acute and long-term care. We draw from a select staff of nurses and CNAs whose passion is to make every day a good day for each patient on every visit. Your HCSRI CNA may assist with personal care, meal preparation or light homemaking such as doing dishes, putting in a load of laundry or running errands.
